When you see all those professionally decorated artificial Christmas trees in stores or in magazines, do you find yourself taking a hard look at these and wondering if you can get your tree to look this great? You can! Believe it or not, you are going to find that decorating artificial Christmas trees like a pro is relatively simple. It just takes some time to get it looking great, and with these tips you will find that your artificial Christmas trees will look amazing and as though they were designed by a professional!
After the tree is set up and the branches are separated, then it really boils down to three steps.
Step 1: Hanging the lights
The lights are always the first thing to put onto these artificial Christmas trees to get them ready for the holiday season. You will find that you can easily avoid this if you decide to go with an artificial tree that already has these lights installed on the branches. However, for some people, they simply enjoy being able to put up the type of lights that they want. They can use traditional incandescent lights, LED lights, globe lights or even bubble lights. Each has a slightly different look so go with whatever that you like!
Step 2: Add Garland
Start at the top of three rather than the bottom and start to put this garland on after the lights. Some people try to start from the bottom, but this often leads to the garland bunching up and not looking as good. You will find that hanging garland is something to do before you hand ornaments since the garland is meant to make your tree look that much more full. You can go with traditional garland, wired ribbon, or even paper garland. The key with the big garland is to do this somewhat loosely so that the tree looks complete.
Step 3: Hang the ornaments
For those who have some ornaments that are sentimental, make sure that these are hung in areas that you are going to immediately focus on to make them seen even more. You will find that large ornaments should be spaced evenly throughout the tree. Try to use various sizes to create a texture throughout this tree. You will find that hanging some ornaments closer to the trunk of the tree is a great way to create some depth in the design.
